Data Deletion

1. Merchants: Delete Your Store and Account

Shopify stores: uninstalling Kompound from your store starts deletion automatically. Shopify sends us a store-redaction notice 48 hours after uninstall, and we then delete everything we hold for that store. If you reinstall within those 48 hours, nothing is deleted.

WooCommerce stores: in Data Sources → Integrations, open the store and choose Remove Store. Everything we hold for that store is deleted immediately. Disconnect is different: it only pauses syncing, and your data stays until you remove the store.

To delete your whole Kompound account, including every store on it and your login, the account owner can choose Delete Account in Settings → Account. Deletion is immediate. If Kompound is installed on a Shopify store, uninstall it there as well: Shopify keeps billing until you do, and we can't uninstall it for you.

Connections to advertising and email platforms (Meta, Google, TikTok, Klaviyo) can be removed at any time in Data Sources → Integrations. Removing a connection deletes the access token immediately and the imported figures with the store.

2. What Happens to My Data When I Cancel?

Cancelling your plan deletes nothing. Your account moves to the Free plan when the period you've paid for ends, and your stores, history and reports stay where they are. The rest of that period isn't refunded.

If you want the data gone, remove the store or delete your account as described above. Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial: cancel in those 14 days and you won't be charged.

3. Team Members

If you were invited to a store and want your account removed, email support@kompound.app. We delete your sign-in, profile and audit entries that identify you, and inform the store owner that your access has ended.

4. Customers of a Store Using Kompound

Kompound processes your data on behalf of the store you bought from. To have it deleted, ask the store directly; they can act through Shopify, which sends us a customer-redaction request that we complete within 48 hours. You may also write to support@kompound.app and we will pass the request to the store and confirm when it is done.

5. Data Received From Meta

When a merchant connects a Meta ad account, Kompound reads advertising performance figures for that account and nothing about individual Facebook or Instagram users. Removing the Meta connection in Data Sources → Integrations deletes the access token at once. To have every figure imported from Meta deleted as well, email support@kompound.app with the store name; we complete it within 30 days and confirm by email.

6. What Deletion Covers and What Remains

• Deleted: orders, customers, products, costs, connections, imported advertising and email figures, dashboards, and every report built from them.
• Removed from backups within 30 days of deletion.
• Kept only where the law requires it: billing records and invoices, for the period tax law sets.
